Before the first rays touch the ground, the riverside ports of Cần Thơ city is a frenzy of activity - boats laden with the bounties of the Mekong Delta, vendors shouting their goods and prices. Here is where the flavors of Vietnam's cuisine meet after the harvest and before making their way to cities and plates worldwide.

The Mekong River has been a highway of innovation, culture, and culinary joys, linking the ancient seaports of East Asia to the inner kingdoms of the continent. The dishes of this southern delta region reflect these influences.

For generations, all along the riverside towns, sellers have pushed carts full of southern sweets down the streets. Bright, colorful, and enticing behind their glass windows, these treats were the highlight of Thư’s childhood. To honor the diverse colors and flavors found in these mobile treasure chests, Thư has selected her personal favorites and will handmake a surprise tasting flight for her guests.

Each event features some traditional edible art in an effort to bring these treats off the pages of history and to a global audience.
